Eligibility Criteria:

A pass in the two year Intermediate Examination of A.P. or +2 Examinations recognized as equivalent to and with an aggregate of 50 % marks in the concerned Science subjects viz Physical Sciences & Mathematics.

B.Sc. M.P.Cs (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science)

Course Objective:

It is more general course with a considerable amount of specialization in the final year. It is a very popular choice among the aspirants who wish to pursue a career in science and technology.

BSC BZC (Botany, Zoology, And Chemistry)

Environment Scientist

With people becoming more and more conscious of the environment they live in, there is a greater demand for environmentalists. After a bachelor’s degree in CBZ, you can go ahead and complete your master’s degree in environmental science. This will make you eligible to apply for the role of an environmental engineer in any organization of your choice.
 

Agricultural/Plant Research

India is an agriculture-based country and there is an immense scope of research in this field. For agricultural research, a detailed understanding of both chemistry and botany is an absolute must. Only a student from the CBZ background will have good clarity on these subjects. These days there are a number of seed and nursery organisation that cater to the growing demands in the world of biological research. All of them hire students from the CBZ background and train them to carry out successful research in this field.

Forensic Scientist

The crime rate being on rise, there is a huge need to tackle the same. This has resulted in a greater number of recruitments in the police departments. In order to carry out investigations of the crime scenes, they require the assistance of forensic scientists. Forensic scientists/Assistants work on real-life evidence and apply the various scientific principles to deduce the maximum amount of information out of the given materials. To become a forensic scientist, one needs to have a thorough understanding of CBZ. Following their graduation, they must have a master’s degree in forensic science. Jobs in this sector are with government agencies and they are very highly paid.

Biochemist

These days, there is a lot of research going on in the field of Biochemistry and there is a decent amount of private and government funding for the same. Pharmacist

Students with a background of CBZ can be taken into the Pharma Companies like Ranbaxy, Sun Pharma and DWD which are the major recruiters in this field. If it is pharmacological research that one is interested in, they can consider doing a PhD following their master’s and then join the organization in R&D roles.

Food Scientist and Nutritionist

To ace in this field, you must have a good understanding of anatomy and must be aware of the chemical composition of the things we eat. For this, a bachelor’s degree in CBZ is helpful. You can go ahead and obtain a master’s degree in clinical research or nutrition and then join the field as a specialist.
Alternatively, you can do your master’s degree in food science and then become a nutritionist. Boarding schools, sports organisations and hospitals are the places where you can find jobs.

Administrative Roles

This is one field where things are pretty generic at the bachelor’s level. Thus, if you are planning to sit for competitive exams, this is an ideal situation for you. With a background in CBZ, you can choose to sit for exams like APPSC, UPSC, PCS, SSC CGL, IBPS,RRB and the various state administrative exams. If you wish to appear for the clerical or probationary officer jobs in SBI or IBPS, a degree in CBZ will provide you with the required head start.
